Historically the Bushwick Inlet Pitch, Currently the McCarren Park pitch . M-F, 7am rain or shine
Honestly, It's the time that we play. There is something really special about morning matches. At 7am no body's there to fuck about. Yesterday's bullshit is behind you and today's hasn't hit. You can focus at the task at hand. Win or lose you've started your day facing a challenge. That and consistency... M-F 7am we play. No Matter what. There's honor in that.
Last goal is always golden goal. Last Goal Wins. Friday Captains... Challenge your rival and pick your team. Winner gets bragging rights for the week. Kieth will hurt his ankle 15 mins into every match, yet he will finish every single match. The second you are told your number and bib color , you will foget said number and color of bib.

Gotta head to work, kid. No time.
Too many to name. Overall the moment you roll up to the pitch every morning. The faces who you havn't seen in a min. Every morning has a vibe, a feeling thats palpable from the start. The buttery touch, the give and goes, the shot from an insane angle... all never to be seen again. The moment, true and pure. Our friend Matt was killed by a car on Franklin Ave a few years back. Been with us since the start. We had a memorial match for him with his wife and kids attending. I see him doing pull-ps on the cross bars some mornings, just watching us play.
The Alarm clock. January ice packs. August heat. Semi-pro McCarren track running clubs.
Mike and Seb would claim "You'll Never Walk Alone", I just say "Don't be Late" or "who's got the bibs for Thursday"?

Do. Not. Be. Late. FTFC
